Granddaughter Lucy Lou Hobbs

Our Lucy Lou has finally arrived and our feet have yet to hit the ground. It is a joy to watch Lindsey and Tyler begin their family together and see the complete love they have for this little one. Now they are getting some needed rest in the hospital before heading home. Due on the 17th, they started to induce her early Monday morning. 24 hours of labor and Lindsey was so bone tired. 3 hours of pushing and finally they put a suction cup on her head and the doctor pulled Lucy out with all of her strength. Our worried prayers that all would be well were answered. Born September 25, 2012. 7lbs. 11oz. 19.5". I love the middle name they gave her after Larry's Mom, Betty Lou.

this week at pebbles september 24- october 1

We spent Friday and Saturday at the Farmers Market and visited with many of you, along with making new friends that have never been to Pebbles. It was nice to get out and show that we are more than scrapbook supplies... we are parties, quick gifts, paper crafting kits, banners and so much more. It was a beautiful fall weekend!

Today, our daughter Lindsey will hopefully be delivering her first baby. She and Tyler are so excited and we are all keeping our phones handy. Please keep her in your prayers... pictures will follow :)

farmers market at the riverwoods

Tonight was magical at the Farmers Market down in the Riverwoods. The heat of the summer is over and it was most pleasant. The lights came on and we could here the oohs and the ahhs. We listened to great music all night and spent time getting to know people... some have never heard of Pebbles, others haven't been in for years since they stopped scrapbooking. All are delighted we have branched out into party supplies and paper crafts. Tomorrow morning (September 21) is the CHALK THE BLOCK day down there and we will be participating in the Farmers Market all day from 9am to 10pm. Drop by and say hi... there is plenty of local food, music, booths filled with cool handcrafts and of course sidewalk art :)

My heart skips a beat whenever a new collection from Echo Park arrives. It is skipping double today with not one but two sets of On The Record 2. Both are my favorites... impossible to pick :) Love the blue, yellow and green set with many patterns that are perfect for boy, but they threw in some flowers and WOW!  Perfect for a girl too. this week at pebbles september 10 - 17

Hi Friends-

Sometimes life demands that we stop what we are doing and serve. This past week my dear friend Brenda Sederberg passed way. It has been a very bittersweet time. Another neighbor, Glen Case also passed away. I am the compassionate service person in our church family... which I love. My church family is wonderful to help volunteer in all things, they amaze me. This week we had two back to back funeral lunches and I found such joy in serving both of these families... I hope you are having a good week!!!
