Tea Party at Home

My girls like to plan special nights and this time they planned a tea party, which I hope we do again and again. Yes. I liked it that much. Kelsie and Abby passed out assignments and we got into our nice clothes and ate pretty food that was over the moon good.  Abby even bought flowers that will quickly make it down to her room right after. The pretty paper garland was created at Pebbles in my Pocket and made everything extra special. Yes, we are a paper store, but I like to believe we help make memories too. Loved my grand-daughter Phoebe, who put in her very own hair bow for the tea party, but the outdoors was calling and she jumped right in! Can you tell? She makes me smile real big : ) Thank you girls for the special night, I love these times with you...

This month marks our 23rd year with Pebbles in my Pocket. It was created with inspiration and plenty of hard work and prayers by our family and many others. So many memories of the ups and downs of business... I prefer to call them learning lessons, but being in this with those I love, my family and good employees has given me strength as we weave Pebbles through the ever changing paper trends. Family Moment : Brillant. Problem Solved :)

This year, we took Kelsie and Abby up on their early Christmas shopping offer. We made our list and they started shopping in September! This has never been done at our place. Ever. So the dilemma was what do we do about the clothes that are on the girls lists? Get them early to find good deals and stretch our dollars which is a good thing. But try to return them after Christmas? Not so good when they are purchased early. And then it hit me. Why not cover their eyes and have them try their clothes on for the rest of us? This way we will know it is a good looking fit for them and rest easy. Ski goggles worked perfectly with toilet paper stuffed into them. No peeking! Let the Christmas music begin : )
