Mother's Day Bouquet

This is probably my most favorite paper bouquet we have created. Sure the colors are breathtaking and they coordinate beautifully with our Spring Blossom Banner and it is perfect for Mother's Day, but it's the picture in the center that makes my heart smile! I filled each center with a member of our family, same picture on both sides so we can see them as we sit around the table. It is a bouquet of 15. Have more than 15? Buy two kits and add flowers as your family grows. This would make the perfect Mothers Day gift for your Mom, Grandma or loved one in your life. The bouquet will be enjoyed throughout the year...

Mother's Day Cards and a Tutorial

I am in love with this card! It is so dainty and feminine and the ruffle down the side just makes me happy. Want to learn how to add ruffles to your cards too? It couldn't be easier! Ruffle Paper Tutorial

Step 1:  Cut a long strip of cardstock and begin to accordion fold, making every other fold half as big as the previous fold.

Step 2: Once your strip is folded, place it on the front of your card, and place under the foot of your sewing machine.

Step 3: Begin to sew your paper, backstitching at the beginning to secure. Keeping your paper strip folded, sew over the folds to create a ruffled look. Backstitch at the end to secure.

Step 4: Assemble the rest of the card as shown, making sure to tuck one side of the quote card under the ruffles, and give to a mother you love.

I was just thinking of all the "mothers" that have had a presence in my life.  Of course, there was my biological mother.  But so many others as well.  It's nice to remember their nurturing influence and how it affected me for the better.  So grateful for all those women.  They are worth remembering.  Who were the "mothers" in your life?  How do you remember them?
